It was Sept. 2013 when I came across the ruin. I put my pictures on YouTube. I even took picture of the barns in the work area before getting into the mud in the pasture. I am planning my next visit to Ireland and Scotland Sept/Oct. 2015 with my Father.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15677671158801441830noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7305522918435483160.post-21791054894463931002014-04-09T12:21:57.231+01:002014-04-09T12:21:57.231+01:00Hi Paddy Good to hear from you again. There appears to be a roadside gate tied up with some cloth.but that may have changed since the google photo was taken. Definitely worth a look. There's never anything too small to get a look at so thanks again for the directions. I will try to get out there soon Castlehunterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11225021319443029751noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7305522918435483160.post-65114609174740781682014-04-08T20:23:49.503+01:002014-04-08T20:23:49.503+01:00Hi CH,

Kildare, there's the ruin of an old windmill. The trouble is that it appears to be on private property, and is closed off by a barbed wire fence.

To get to it, come to Johnstown Bridge on M4 / Enfield side. After you pass the Londis (you'll pass it on your left), take the next right down a little lane. After about half a mile, you'll see the windmill ruin on your left, on a small summit. Keep a close eye out for it, as you might easily pass it. That said, you won't encounter much traffic on the lane, so you can afford to go slowly! Keep up the ruin hunting!

Regards,
Paddy. Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04661937227167620182noreply@blogger.com
